Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Global Copyrights platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Global Copyrights provides a platform for authors to establish cryptographic proof of authorship, creation date, and file integrity for their intellectual works. Our service generates cryptographic fingerprints (MD5, SHA-256, SHA-512) and timestamps that can serve as evidence in disputes regarding authorship and priority of creation.

3. Not a Copyright Registration Office

Global Copyrights is not a government copyright registration office. Using our service does not replace formal copyright registration with national authorities (such as the U.S. Copyright Office, INPI in Brazil, etc.). Our service provides cryptographic proof of existence and authorship, which may complement but does not replace formal legal registration.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when registering and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights to the works you submit. By using our service, you grant Global Copyrights a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your work metadata solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to: (a) submit works for which you do not hold the rights; (b) engage in fraud or misrepresentation; (c) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (d) attempt to disrupt or compromise the security of the platform.

7. Payment and Refunds

Payments are processed through PayPal. Fees are charged per work registration and are non-refundable once the work has been processed and the cryptographic certificate has been issued. In case of technical failure on our part, we will reprocess or refund at our discretion.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Global Copyrights shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable international law. Disputes shall be submitted to arbitration before a mutually agreed neutral body.
